ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Jordan, and I’m in this work because I’ve been there. I read so many books and felt so prepared for motherhood, and then was smacked in the face when it didn’t go as expected. I quickly learned I needed outside support. The feelings I experienced fueled my desire to support others feeling similar to me.

I am warm, compassionate, and I’m a damn good listener.  If I have questions or thoughts, I will share them with you. I will validate you and encourage you. Every person experiences postpartum differently, I will never assume you have the same experience as myself or someone else. I have been in the mental health field for more than 10 years, I assure you nothing you say will shock me.

I love to laugh and I swear often…When you are in session you’re going to get the real me. I’ve tried to harness my sporadic profanity, and I just can’t.  We will laugh together- buried in the hard moments of parenthood there are some pretty funny situations, I want to hear them!

What qualifies me to do this?

I have worked with survivors of trauma since 2012. I am a licensed clinical social worker in three states: New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and California. I have completed clinical training and testing with Perinatal Support International (PSI), specializing in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADS) to achieve additional licensing as a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Professional (PMH-C).

What’s really important to know is that I love working with new parents, parents that are struggling with what they’re feeling and are damn sure it’s time for a change. Being a new parent is hard, really, really hard. New parents are often as real as it gets, and they have no more energy for hiding or pretending everything is ok. I’m ready to get real with you and ready to provide you with the support you need.
